Waldvogel Times

Welcome to my idea of a simple way to stay in touch with more people. I was inspired by an old friend who has done a great job keeping friends and family posted on her everyday life. As our schedules get busier and our family gets bigger, I want to make sure that friends and family are informed!

Brett the Driver

Brett and my cousin Aleena joined me at the barn today. I have been working Max as often as I can, trying to get him into shape. We should look presentable by the fair! After all the hard work for the fairs, I will relax and see how good I am with the vis-a-vis carriage. And a big thank you to my aunt Lynnette, she has been there with me almost every time helping me. As she should, she got me into horses when I was 4 or 5 anyway!

Practice with Max

What a nice day for my maiden voyage. I have yet to drive Max without a trainer, today was the first. I figure Wash. Co. Fair is coming up quick as will State Fair right after so time to get some guts. And of course special thanks to my aunt Lynnette (for those who don't know, the one who started me with horses when I was 5) gave me a hand. Max tends to be a little impatient when he needs to stand and likes to spin or back up, so Lynnette held his head to help me. It workd out well. This is a picture of my pretty cart. This is what it looks like from the drivers seat. And Max gets a well deserved hosing down. It helps to clean him up a bit and to cool him off. And anything to help keep the flies off of him. And yes, just like my dog, he drinks from a hose!

Brett Reading to Barrett

Well as you may or may not notice, but the boys just got a fresh summer haircut. Brett has such thick hair, I let it go short in the summer so he isn't so hot and long in the winter just in case he forgets his hat. Barrett as I have mentioned is into everything, well now he is on everything too. He is a good climber. So no surprise that he can climb the slide up to Brett's top bunk (a feat that took Brett until he was over 2 to accomplish), but he climbs into the rocker to read stories and rock. I was pleasantly surprised to see Brett reading to Barrett.

Boys playing

I had to capture this moment, the boys playing nicely with each other! Not that they fight a lot, but there are definate moments. Brett was pushing Barrett so nice on the firetruck and well good thing I was quick, because there he goes.
