Western Carribean Cruise for Mom!
Welcome to my idea of a simple way to stay in touch with more people. I was inspired by an old friend who has done a great job keeping friends and family posted on her everyday life. As our schedules get busier and our family gets bigger, I want to make sure that friends and family are informed!
I know can you believe it, he actually cleans up at school! For those of you who know Barrett you know the funny lines are the -'s.
Brett turned 6 on January 7th, WOW! He has only had family parties and this year he asked for is first 'friend' party. After I got over the sticker shock of renting a place (which were all about the same), we decided on the YMCA. Brett went with a camoflauge theme and even wore an army costume to his party. A trip to Bartz's was more economical than Oriental Trading Company which surprised me. We had balloons, plates, etc. The big hit was the mini-picture frame magnets. I took pictures at the party and printed extras and sent with the thank you notes. Then I put a picture of each guest in their own mini-frame magnet, what a hit.
The YMCA did a great job. We had about 2 1/2 hours in the gym with scooter races (that yes even I helped Barrett with), basketball (which Mark helped Barrett with), and a bouncy house. Some cake and duck, duck, goose and the kids were exhausted.
Brett did get a cool transformer racetrack from Grandma and Papa Waldvogel, and not pictured is the cool Cars game set from Grandma and Papa Schultz. However his friends didn't bring gifts for Brett, we asked for donations to the Center for Avian Rehab. We raised lots of food and money for the birds, his friends were so generous.
We will definately be having another party next year, after all, the golden birthday.
Brett has his first loose tooth, it will be a top front tooth that he loses first.
And Barrett will be so happy when his birthday comes around on Feb 1st. He didn't understand why he didn't get presents too.
This was fun to get some nice winter pictures with Grande. And let me tell you he continues to grow and will definately live up to his name! Looking back at summer pictures he was scrawny. He will be three in April. My goal is to have him as a hitch horse so I can take friends and family for carriage rides; hopefully that is not to far off.
