Waldvogel Times

Welcome to my idea of a simple way to stay in touch with more people. I was inspired by an old friend who has done a great job keeping friends and family posted on her everyday life. As our schedules get busier and our family gets bigger, I want to make sure that friends and family are informed!

Barrett's Coooool Shades

Great Circus Parade

We went downtown to see the Circus Wagons and animals the Friday night before the circus. My boys were not all that impressed with the camel rides, or even elephant rides, but liked the equipment. I was lucky to get behind the scenes on Sunday the day of the parade, and help hitch and unhitch the 4 horse team that Max was on. Although I worked with his teamate, Andy. Max is the wheel horse closest to the camera, he is the one with the white rear foot. He did very well and was proud to be a part of the parade.

July 3rd, 2009

I am sorry to publish so many posts in one night, but unfortunately that is how it has worked out lately. On Friday July 3rd we went to my in laws house. This is a great tradition because they live so close to the parade route and right across the street from the fireworks. Well this year the parade route was a little longer, long enough to go past their house. Front row seats! The sequence of Brett and the tall stilt man make me smile. Brett ran out into the street to tell the stilt walker, and I quote, "Excuse me. EXcuse ME. EXCUSE ME MISTER! I HAVE THE SAME HAT AS YOU! One of those precious moments.

Jiffy Pop

One of the cheesy American traditions!

Day at Johnson Farms

It would not be a complete day if Brett didn't hop up in one of the big John Deere tractors for a little work! Riding the 2600 pound Max. He is still huge. Riding with me is Laura and Laure, exchange students here from France and Spain. The visit from these girls is such a gift! Brett's first lesson on ground driving a team!

Cookout in Delafield

Again a very lucky mom, only 2 years old and getting his own beer, of course I mean water. Brett just kicking back and relaxing (in the most comfortable chairs I have ever sat in) alongside Aunt Jess

Cleaning

If only this lasts a lifetime, I will be one lucky mother and someone someday will be a very lucky wife!
