Brett's New Space Room

Brett got a new room! Well same room, new paint. He is old enough now to tell us what he wanted. Well of course he changed his mind every 5 minutes, so we encouraged the one we liked too, and I think he is very happy with this. We went with Olive Kids, out of this world stuff and it turned out great. And what you can't see because it didn't take picutres well is all the glow in the dark stars and planets on his ceiling. I even went through the trouble to actually place them in constellations. It is so cool, I'm debating putting it in my room too. And all his hand me downs are slowly moving to Barrett's room. On a side note, we went to the pediatrician for check ups. Dr Smith walked in the office and said, "Oh hi, let me guess how old you are. Are you 9?" Brett said no. "Are you 7?" Brett said no. Dr Smith said, "well then how old are you?" Brett siad, "You said you wanted to guess, keep guessing." I laughed and Dr Smith kept guessing. Both kids are tall and skinny for their age. Although Barrett is taller and not as skinny for his age. Go figure. They are both healthy and doing well.

Happy 5th Birthday Brett!

Brett's birthday was last week on the 7th. I asked him where he wanted to go for dinner and just like a 5 year old, he picked McDonald's. So I carted off the present and cake and grandma and grandpa Waldvogel, Aunt Linnie and Tiera met us and we celebrated. This was a 'cupcake' cake. I made all little cupcakes and pushed them together and frosted it like one cake. With such a nice cake and presents, you wouldn't expect such a crabby face. That's better. And Barrett's only thought, bring on the cake! I took both boys to the pediatrician for their 5 and 2 year well kid check ups. And they are both tall. Brett is 3' 7 1/2 " (63%) and 41 pounds (57%) and as predicted Barrett is a big boy 3' 3/4" (97%) and over 30 pounds (79%) Barrett is definately my big boy. Otherwise both are healthy and looking good.

Bowling

We took Brett bowling today. He has been playing the Wii bowling game and has scored as high as 146 or so. Of course the Wii remote is lighter than a real bowling ball. But we had a good time. Barrett is spending some quality time with Grandma and Papa in Cedar Grove and is having a great time himself. I know the brothers will be happy to be back together, but a liitle one on one time is nice for them.
